Important roadworks information

A14 westbound junction 22 to junction 13 – resurfacing works

 I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing works on the A14 westbound between junction 22 and junction 13. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better?defined road surface.

We plan to complete this work overnight on Monday 22 June 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A14 westbound between junction 22 to junction 13 and divert traffic as follows:

      Local traffic will be able to use the A14 westbound between junction 22 and junction    16

• Motorway traffic will be diverted off the A14 at junction 22 onto the A1 northbound
• Continue on the A1 to junction 17
• Exit at junction 17 and take the first exit onto the A605
• Continue on the A605 to rejoin the A14 at junction 13

Non-motorway traffic will be diverted via the A141, A1307, B1043, A15, A1260, A1139 and A605

Please note emergency vehicles will not have access through the works
